MAN HACKATHON
Smart Optimiser for Truck Purchasing Lifecycle
Project Date: 05.-07.12.2019, München | Clients: MAN Hackathon | My Role: Data-driven Design, UX, UI Design
This is a 3 days workshop organized by MAN. MAN's a subsidiary of automaker Volkswagen and its primary output for the automotive industry is heavy trucks. Hackathon's goal is to use the truck data (miles, break, fuel level, etc) to explore the solution for the uptime experience.
As the only designer in the team, I collaborate with 2 developers and 1 data scientist to provide a win-win solution for both MAN clients as well as MAN.

CashMAN is a web platform providing an intelligent solution to optimize the truck purchasing lifecycle.
The target group is small logistic companies that have less than 10 vehicles. MAN clients renew the truck every 3-4 years.
There are two reasons for the frequent renewing.
1. A new truck consumes less fuel. Fuel consumption is around 1/3 cost of the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), the most important financial indicator for the business owner.
2. There are 2500 truck drivers lacking in Europe. Drivers choose a job based on the condition of the truck. The truck is their home companying them for weeks and months.
